It was Linenfox’s tag line which first caught our attention. “Ethical linen for well lived days,” promised the Lithuania based fashion brand, intriguing us to investigate further (meaning: scrolling idly through their Instagram page). And boy, have they delivered on their message.
Launched in 2014 by husband and wife duo Ingrida Margelė and Airidas Margelis, the brand has quickly risen to internet fame, thanks to their well-made clothes that are meant to be durable, without compromising on your ethics or breaking the bank.
All linen garments are made locally, using only toxic-free, Oeko-tex certified linen, with the brand adhering to fair trade principles. “Our brand is inspired by nature and movement,” shared Margelė in an interview with the Etsy blog, explaining that “comfort is important to us. We make functional garments that are suitable for a wide range of occasions.”
Indeed, their quality linen can be worn for any and every activity: from cycling and playing outdoors to formal events. “Our clothes can be used for gardening, traveling, or shopping at the market,” explains Margelė. “But the same garment, if dressed up a bit, could be worn for a formal occasion. There are so many things we have to do in our lives, why not have a staple that works well for numerous occasions?”
With almost 50k followers on Instagram to date, their fashion statement hasn’t gone unnoticed.
