The long-anticipated makeup range created by Lady Gaga and her beauty brand Haus Laboratories was officially launched on September 17. Now we can finally take a look at what the singer has prepared for us.
Gaga created this range with the help of her longtime makeup artist Sarah Tanno, who says that they don’t want people to use this makeup to try and look like Lady Gaga. “We want you to use these tools to express yourself in whatever way that is,” Tanno said.
Gaga agreed with this, saying that the range is all about empowering people to be strong and unique.
“God gave me this voice for a reason, I don’t know why, I ask myself that question all the time,” the pop icon told Business of Fashion in July. “But I’m sure as hell not going to put out a beauty brand that is going to drive insecurity and fear into people. This is about liberation.”
Haus Laboratories’ makeup range is comprised of only four products – Glam Attack Liquid Shimmer Powders, Eye-lie-ner Liquid Eyeliner, RIP Lip Liners, and Le Riot Glosses. Each of them is created to be multi-use – the singer says she uses lip liners as lipsticks and applies Glam Attack shadows all over her face.
The singer also collaborated with Face Lace to create one more unique product for the line called Armor Masque No. 1. This is an intricate, lace-like eye sticker you can place below and above your eyes, recreating some of Gaga’s most memorable makeup looks.
