We tend to paint our world in brand new colors once fall arrives, and ochre yellow will apparently be everywhere this season. In addition to making its way into our wardrobe, this beautiful shade will also overtake our entire homes with its vibrancy and warmth.
Ochre yellow is defined as a pigment consisting of limonite mixed with clay and silica, and we’re sure you’ll be seeing it everywhere even if you don’t know its name. This shade is walking on a thin line between yellow and deep orange – and it’s the best of both worlds.
Etsy’s trend expert Dayna Isom Johnson recently discussed this emerging trend with Huffington Post. She can see home décor enthusiasts trying to create the ultimate looks for cooler weather by combining ochre with other organic yellow shades and moody oranges – and we’re totally on board with this idea.
You don’t have to go all in by painting your home and replacing your furniture to embrace this trend. Adding a couple of tiny details – such as linens, pillowcases, or new lamps and plant pots – will be quite enough and it will make all the difference.
