Fermented foods are having a comeback and for good reason. Fermentation is the process of turning sugars into lactic acid, which in turn creates a lot of new enzymes b-vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids, and other probiotics. This means that fermented foods are extra good for your body, especially your gut, which needs fermented foods in order to run smoothly. If you are not already eating fermented foods, try some of these and see the difference in your body!

Tempeh

Tempeh is fermented tofu, which means that there is a lot of protein in it. The fermentation process also makes it better for you than regular soy products, because it will not change your hormonal system as soy often does.
