With many vacation plans and trips canceled due to the coronavirus, being creative with activities is the next best thing. In addition to nature walks, why not try backyard camping this weekend? Backyard camping is the same thing as camping, but you can use the restroom in your own home. If you want a new family or friend adventure give backyard camping a try. Here’s what you’ll need.
Tent
The first thing you’ll need is a tent. Check your garage for an old one or invest in one.
Lanterns
This backyard camping experience is screen-free, so you’ll need flashlights or lanterns to help you see in the dark.
Sleeping Bag
If you’re camping with small children, you may want to head inside after the bonfire and s’mores so everyone can sleep in their own beds. But, if you want a true camping experience, you’ll need a sleeping bag to keep you warm during the night.
Campfire
The best part of camping is the campfire and all the yummy food including s’mores and hot dogs that you can roast on the fire. Get a portable grill that you can set up anywhere in your yard.
Movies
Watch a movie under the stars by making an outdoor movie screen and getting a projector. All you need to do is decide what movie to watch!
