Tzatziki is the perfect sauce to make if you’re someone who doesn’t have time to cook, simply doesn’t enjoy cooking, but needs to bring something homemade to the table. This sauce is really more than a sauce because it can be a dip, a spread, and an element to help make other recipes taste amazing. This Greek sauce is a truly a miracle, and making it could not be more simple.
The ingredients are 1/2 an English cucumber, or a regular cucumber with the seeds taken out, 1 1/2 cups of Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1-2 tablespoons of fresh dill depending on how strong you like the flavor, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and pepper each, and the juice of 1 lemon.
Dice up the cucumber however big or small you want the pieces.
Put them in a bowl with the Greek yogurt, olive oil, salt, pepper and juiced lemon.
Chop up the dill as finely as you can and add that to the bowl as well.
Mix everything together, taste it to see if it needs more seasoning, and then you’re done!
Serve it with burgers, pita, chips, or whatever else you can dream of.
