Sometimes, your everyday cleanser isn’t enough to remove the dirt from your makeup and the pollution in the air. So, once a week, use an exfoliating face scrub to remove the dead skin cells and keep the skin soft.

There are so many facial scrubs on the market but many of them have harsh ingredients that can damage your skin. Here are some facial scrubs you can make at home, and they are so easy and good for your skin. And they are inexpensive to make.

Sugar Face Scrub

Mix together 1 tsp of sugar, 2 drops of water and 1–2 drops orange, lemon, lavender or tea tree essential oil. Combine all ingredients together and using the tips of your fingers, gently rub the mixture onto a clean face. Rinse with cool water.

Honey and Oatmeal Facial Scrub

Combine 1/2 cup of uncooked oats, 2 tbsp honey, 1 tsp nutmeg, 15 drops lavender essential oil and tea tree oil. Blend the oats a little (not too much) and mix in the remaining ingredients. Rub on the skin and leave for 5-10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Coffee face scrub

In a bowl, add 1/3 tsp extra virgin olive oil 1 tsp organic honey and 1 1/2 tsp coffee grinds. Mix and apply the scrub to a cleansed face, gently scrub the skin in upward circular movements for a minute and then wash off.
