Lack of sleep can negatively impact different aspects of our life so it’s extremely important to have a balanced and healthy bedtime routine. Unfortunately, we all have a couple of bad habits that aren’t doing us any favors, and here are three you should definitely eliminate.
Late Night Snacks
It would be ideal if you went to bed a couple of hours after having dinner. This gives your body enough time to burn calories and digest food, but many people have a bad habit of having a tasty snack right before bed.
Pointless Scrolling
Most people also have a habit of checking their phones before going to sleep. There’s nothing wrong with that, as long as you put your phone down after a minute or two, but many people tend to pointlessly scroll through Instagram and Facebook instead of going to sleep.
Last Minute Workouts
If your schedule is super-busy, chances are you’ll leave your workout for the very last minute, but you should hit the gym earlier in the day whenever possible. You might have a hard time falling asleep afterward since working out sends a signal to your body to stay awake and active.
