Ingredients:

  • 450 g can smoked fish
  • 1 egg
  • 500 g potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 4 finely chopped spring onions
  • 2 teaspoons margarine
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 finely chopped capsicum
  • pinch black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Start by putting the potatoes in a pot with water. Once they’re cooked, remove them, peel and mash them.
  2. Add in the margarine and mix very well.
  3. Include the fish, capsicum, and the spring onions.
  4. Add pepper to the mixture.
  5. Form 12 fish patties.
  6. Combine the milk and the eggs in a bowl.
  7. Pour the breadcrumbs on a plate next to the bowl.
  8. First, put the patties in the egg mix, then in the breadcrumbs.
  9. Prepare a pan with oil, and start cooking the patties. You will need 2 to 3 minutes per side.
