]]>While a seemingly simple product to use, there is a wide range of face masks available for different skin types. While hydrating masks are ideal for dry skin, clay masks work well on oily skin, so choose wisely.
Before applying a face mask, make sure to wash your skin thoroughly and pat it dry. This will ensure that the mask can set as well as possible and get through to the foundation of your skin.
While most beauty masks cannot be left on for too long, there are those overnight face masks that are specially designed to be worn while you sleep. Consider using one of these and see just how effective it is.

]]>There are many situations in which you may want to have lipstick on under your face mask. Perhaps you’re visiting a friend or your boyfriend but you need to wear a mask during your ride, or you simply want your lipstick intact during your walk outside when no mask is required. Whatever it is, Eldridge has a solution for you.
“I love blotting lips because I like that slightly [melted] look. If I’m using a lip color which is really pigmented, I tend to use a small amount and just really work it into the lips so that it becomes a stain,” she told Marie Claire in an interview. According to her, this is a great way not to get any lipstick marks on your mask.

]]>Have you already started thinking about this year’s Halloween costume? Chances are you’re going to have to wear a mask with it, so you may as well make it match the costume. Here’s how.
If you transform into a surgeon this Halloween, a surgical mask will make total sense! This year will be the only chance to do so (we hope!) because once this Covid-19 craziness is over, we won’t want to see the masks for a very long time.
If you’re sewing your own costume, you can sew a matching mask, too. There are plenty of costumes that can work with a mask. Also, you can paint on your mask and use it instead of makeup. Just be creative and see where it takes you!
You can simply celebrate the holiday by DIY-ing a spooky mask—paint or embroider skulls, spiderweb, your favorite Halloween quote, or anything else you can think of.

]]>Wearing a monochromatic outfit and a matching mask is the simplest way to look effortlessly chic. You can also apply this formula to solid-color dresses and wear matching masks. It will look especially good with pantsuits in bright colors, in our opinion.
Wearing a mask that’s completely different from the print on your clothes is one of the easiest ways to rock polka dots, stripes, or florals this fall. This is perfect for those who can never settle on a single print for a day.
Not all fabrics are good for protecting you from viruses, but when you have a special occasion and have to wear a mask, you can opt for a silk or velvet mask that will work with the rest of your outfit.

]]>Choosing the right formula is crucial here. Go for matte lipsticks that are less likely to transfer to your mask or smudge all over your face. If you don’t have matte lipsticks, a lip pencil underneath your favorite lipstick will make it stay in place longer.
There’s a right way to apply lipstick to improve longevity and decrease the chance of smudging. Use a lip balm on your bare lips as a primer that will keep the color in place. When it comes to lipstick, it’s best to put some of it on your finger and press onto the lips instead of applying it straight from the package.
As the final step, remove the excess color by pressing a piece of tissue on your lips. Lightly dab some setting powder directly over lipstick. This works just like when you’re setting your foundation—it keeps makeup blotted and makes sure it stays on longer.
With a bit more effort than usual, you can continue wearing lipstick underneath face masks without any trouble!

]]>Wearing a face mask for hours every day can leave your skin irritated. Prevent this by applying a moisturizer every time before you begin doing your makeup.
A light BB cream with SPF is an excellent choice. However, if you need a bit more coverage, pick a long-wear foundation that’s non-comedogenic. Add concealer only where needed, like under the eyes.
Using a setting powder will prevent your makeup to transfer to the face mask. You can use a loose or pressed powder; your current favorite will do just fine.
It’s time to get all those eyeshadow palettes from the drawer and play around with eye makeup. Your eyes are the center of attention now so make them look their best with shadows, liner, and mascara. Don’t forget the brows, too, as they can completely change the way your face looks.
