Rules For Applying Concealer Under Your Eyes

We use makeup to cover up the imperfections and to highlight our best features, but it’s crucial to apply it the right way. When not done right, makeup can have the opposite effect and highlight what you’re trying to hide. When it comes to the undereye concealer, here are the rules you should follow to ensure proper application every single time.

Don’t Use Too Much of It

The point of concealer is to cover the dark circles under your eyes and that’s the only area that really needs it. Don’t apply it all over your cheek and eyelid.

Use a Brush

A brush will help you be more precise and to not apply too much of the product. You can then use your finger to blend it.

Blend Well

Lightly tap the product into your skin for the best effect.

Set it With Powder

This step is optional, but if your skin type is oily, especially around your eyes, you may want to set the concealer with powder so it stays in place all day long. If your skin is dry, the setting powder can only make things worse.
