“Method dressing” is one of the most elaborate red carpet trends to emerge in recent years, and its popularity isn’t fading away. Ariana Grande, Blake Lively, and Rita Ora are some of the Hollywood superstars who impressed us with red carpet looks inspired by their most recent films.

Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo – Wicked

Wicked won’t hit the theaters until November, but Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo already promoted it with several matching pink and green looks, including this one from the Olympic Opening Ceremony in Paris.

Blake Lively & Gigi Hadid – Deadpool & Wolverine

Blake Lively and Gigi Hadid turned heads at the Deadpool & Wolverine world premiere and paid homage to the film’s titular superheroes with red and yellow outfits inspired by their costumes.

Blake Lively – It Ends with Us

Blake Lively also gave us a masterclass in method dressing while promoting her latest film It Ends with Us, and honored her character Lily Bloom with a series of floral outfits.

Rita Ora – Descendants: The Rise of Red

Rita Ora took method dressing to the next level during the press tour for her new film Descendants: The Rise of Red, and attended each and every promo event wearing red.

Daisy Edgar-Jones – Twisters

Daisy Edgar-Jones gave a subtle nod to the method dressing craze by wearing a metallic mini dress with tornado-inspired patterns during the Twisters screening in Oklahoma.
