Nail polish is one of the best accessories you can have. It’s easily changeable depending on the occasion, and it can bring a little flair to plain outfits. But, if you are someone who is worried about all the chemicals that go inside nail polish, or you want your children to use more natural nail polish, this is the DIY project for you. With only a few ingredients, you can make all the colors in the rainbow in a breeze.
Whatever color you decide to do, the base of the nail polish will be a water-based, non-toxic clear polish. There are many brands out there, so you just have to get what is available to your at your local drugstore.

I tried to go for a different color but half way into painting the nails, I decided against it. Can't go naked either or they would break just by looking at them. So only base and top coat this time; I love the #essie top coat 💜 #nailpolish #clearnailpolish #wood #naturalnails #naturally
For this, you will only need a small container and toothpicks.
To add color, you will be using natural non-toxic eyeshadow or powder makeup.
- Crush some of your eyeshadow or powder makeup
- Put it in your container
- Pour in all of the clear nail polish and mix really well with the toothpick until there are no clumps whatsoever which may take some time
- Try it out to see if the color is dark enough. If not, add more makeup.
- Pour back into the bottle and enjoy!
