Make Eating Outside More Homey

Whether you’re having a large family gathering or simply a dinner outside with friends, setting the mood is essential, and summer is the perfect time to do it outside. Instead of just putting food down on a table or a blanket on the ground, make your dining experience special with these easy tips.

Table Cloth

It doesn’t matter if you’re eating in your backyard or in the park, putting down a tablecloth automatically makes the mood more intentional.  Even if you just have a plain gingham printed cloth, it will make outside feel more like inside, which is always fun. You can also bring cloth napkins, which not only helps bring an elegant feel to the meal, but it is also more eco-friendly than having paper napkins.

Flower Arrangments

Having a flower arrangement is the perfect centerpiece for any outdoor event. If you’re eating at home, you can always bring out a vase with flowers in it from your home, or even a potted plant. However, if you’re traveling somewhere and you don’t have the time or patience to bring along flowers, simply use an empty beer bottle or wine bottle and forage for wildflowers and weeds wherever you are.
