Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar LeBron James won his fourth NBA Title in 2019/20 but he doesn’t intend to stop there. James has his eyes set on another ring this season and believes the Lakers have a roster capable of repeating.

James was asked about the Lakers’ title chances in the 2020/21 season during his appearance on the Road Trippin podcast, hosted by his former Cleveland Cavaliers’ teammates Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, and didn’t need much time to think about his answer.

“We can [repeat]. I mean, it’s that simple,” said James. “We absolutely can.”

But James also acknowledged that health will play a big role in the team’s ability to get it done for the second straight season.

“You have to have some luck. You have to have health,” he added.

James was arguably the biggest reason for the Lakers’ success last season, playing on an MVP level. He averaged 25.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and career-high 10.2 assists during the regular part of the campaign while taking it up a notch in the playoffs. The 35-year-old All-Star finished the postseason averaging 27.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game and was deservingly crowned the NBA Finals MVP.

LA Lakers are the biggest favorites to go all the way in 2020/21, especially after making some big moves during the offseason. Besides keeping their two biggest stars in James and Anthony Davis, they also made notable additions in former Defensive Player of the Year Marc Gasol, reigning NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year Montrezl Harrell and NBA’ Most Improved Player runner-up Dennis Schroder.
