How to Use Scented Candles in Your Home

Your home should be a sacred space where you feel comfortable and productive and a place where you can be your best self. If you can decorate it to your liking, it will instantly become your favorite place on Earth.

Scented candles can help you create a warm and cozy atmosphere and give your home a signature smell that your brain will connect with being at home, safe and calm.

If you think your scented candle “isn’t working,” you’re probably going to need 2-3 candles for that room. Bigger living rooms may require 3-4 candles burning at the same time if you want the scent to spread.

When you light a candle, let it burn for at least an hour. The upper layer should melt completely before you put it out if you want to use it in the most efficient way. If you put the candle out before its surface has melted, it will leave the ring that will not melt the next time you light it, which will dramatically decrease the lifespan of your candle.

Always make sure your candles are put out before you go out or go to sleep. Candles are a big fire hazard and we don’t have to tell you about all the risks they carry if not operated carefully.
