With many of us are heading into our third month of quarantine, we’ve become accustomed to feeling lonely. Feeling alone is normal, especially during these difficult times, but there are productive ways to overcome it. Here’s how to deal with FOBA.
Make Alone Time Quality Time
Use this time to meditate, even if you’ve found it difficult to do so in the past. Even just taking 10 minutes out of your day can be useful in calming your anxiety.
Find Joy
Think back to your childhood and what you enjoyed doing. If you enjoy exercising, baking, or coloring spend more time doing those activities.
Catch Up With a Friend
The next time you feel lonely, use the time to catch up with a friend. We’re sure your friend will be just as happy to hear from your as you are to connect with them.
Talk to a Stranger
Talk to a Professional
No matter your budget or schedule, there are tons of therapy options available and professionals can help you process your emotions. There are even free or low-fee resources available in your community through therapists who are trying to get clinical hours.
