H&M’s latest sustainable collection may be its best yet.
Back in 2012, H&M became trailblazers in the field of sustainable high street fashion. They unveiled their “Conscious Exclusive” range which uses innovative design methods to create eco-friendly and sustainable fashion. The goal is to become a high street brand that uses only recycled or sustainably sourced materials in the next decade.
The retail giant’s latest collection is made from leftover stock fabric. It will also include a pair of white jeans made from 100% undyed cotton. This means the jeans will be recyclable.
“For SS20, the Conscious Exclusive design team took a truly holistic approach to sustainability, considering the emotional durability and the afterlife of the garments in more detail than ever before”, Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor at H&M explained. “We remain committed to creating special, sustainable pieces that will truly last a lifetime.”
In addition to being impressively sustainable, the new Conscious Exclusive collection is incredibly stylish. It boasts trendy, modern details with vibrant colors and embellishments.
The collection is available online.
