Do you remember Halima Aden, the gorgeous model who never takes off her hijab? Well, this beauty is breaking boundaries by being the first-ever model to flaunt a hijab and burkini for a swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated. The Kenya-born stunner is one of the rookies of the year, who will be posing in swimwear for the 2019 release of Sports Illustrator Swimsuit.

Halima Aden is one of the most influential young models, not just because of her natural and uncanny beauty, but also because she is changing the definition of modern fashion. Modest styles are her thing, and she is now helping so many other women feel secure and on trend while wearing them.

“I keep thinking [back] to six-year-old me who, in this same country, was in a refugee camp. So to grow up to live the American dream [and] to come back to Kenya and shoot for SI in the most beautiful parts of Kenya–I don’t think that’s a story that anybody could make up.”- the beauty explained.

“We believe beauty knows no boundaries. I admire Halima, and I consider her an inspirational human for what she has decided to use her platform for and her work with Unicef as an ambassador,” says the editor of Sports Illustrator Swimsuit, MJ Day.
