It’s getting cold again and the holidays approaching, which means that we will stay inside more and spend our days staying warm and cozy. For many people, this means curling up on the sofa and catching up on all the amazing TV shows that came out recently, but an alternative to that is reading.
Books make our lives richer and we’d all love to read more, but somehow we just don’t find time for it. Here’s how to get back into reading this winter.
Put It In Your Calendar
As silly as it may sound, scheduling time for reading drastically increases the chance that it will happen. Even if it’s only 20 minutes before bed or after breakfast, make it a daily thing that you can look forward to.
Pick an Interesting Book
Don’t torture yourself with books you “should” be reading but pick something you truly want to read. Even if you realize halfway through the story that it bores you, it’s better to switch to something else than to abandon reading altogether.
Try an eReader
Digital books are much more convenient and are a great way to get into the habit of reading before you move on to hard copies. Get an eReader, pack it with some great reads, and carry it in your bag at all times.
