When it comes to vacations and mini-city breaks we are spoilt with options of where to go. But during peak season, popular destinations can be overcrowded and unbearable. So, if you want to visit these places, the best time to do it is outside peak season. Here are three places to visit during these times.

Venice, Italy

From freshly cooked pasta and gondola-lined canals, Venice is on top of everyone’s holiday wish lists, making it an overcrowded tourist trap in the summer. However, from November to early spring it makes for a perfect getaway. With fewer people crowding the cobblestone streets you are able to soak up the magic of the city while discovering the city’s historic landmarks.

Santorini, Greece

Greece has been everyone’s holiday destination. While it’s perfect for honeymooners, if you don’t want to be surrounded by countless couples staring into each others’ eyes, try to go out of season. November and December may be slightly greyer and colder, but Santorini’s cerulean-blue domed architecture is just as beautiful. Instead of wearing shorts, throw on a pair of comfortable jeans and walk through the quieter city center and enjoy a peaceful panoramic view while you enjoy local authentic dishes.

Ubud, Bali

While Bali’s wet season, November to March, tends to have unpredictable weather with thunderstorms. It’s an ideal time to appreciate the local villages and immerse yourself in the renowned wellness destinations Bali has to offer. Visit the majestic temples and cultural spots that will be less crowded with vacationers, while the rice paddies and jungle landscapes are at their most lush and vibrant states.
