Naturally, those of us who lived through these trends the first time around may be hesitant to see them returning, bringing up cringy tween and teen memories. Lip Gloss
Lip gloss was all over the place in the 2000s but lost favor in the 2010s for the more matte, overlined, liquid lipstick look. But lip gloss is easy, fun, forgiving, and youthful. Plus, it has the added bonus of making your lips feel moisturized instead of all dry and puckered. It’s poppin’.
Shimmery Eyeshadow
It wasn’t just the tips of boy band members’ hair that were frosted in the 2000s; frosted eyeshadow was all the rage, too. We love the snow princess vibes and can’t wait to wear this look to an ice skating rink this winter to get our Ice Princess on.
Punk Eyeliner
Now, everybody is all about perfect winged liner, but in the 2000s, smudgy bottom liner applied and re-applied to the water line was just the way to show off your emo soul and love of pop punk. This one is not only moodier and more fun but way easier to achieve.
