Whether you’re someone who spends hours on social media or watches a lot of YouTube videos, most everyone is consuming a lot of information on a daily basis in this day and age. Since we are consuming so much, it can start to get a little overwhelming, so it’s really important that we are creating to offset all that information overload. This doesn’t mean just creating physical items, but changing our mindset as well.

What does Creating Actually Mean?

Creating can mean physically making something, such as art, photography, or anything else in that realm. But creating can also be something emotional, like creating time for yourself to do certain activities or meditations, or creating more meaningful activities. The idea is to take some time away from consuming information and putting it into practice or finding your own new ways to learn and create.

Why?

When we create, we build within ourselves more confidence and a sense of pride. Alternatively, when we consume too much, we can start to feel bad about ourselves, whether it’s feelings of inadequacy or self-consciousness. But when we create more, we do it in a way that directly makes us happy because we’re doing things that we value instead of seeing someone else do something we wish we could do or be.
