Use These Tricks To Make The Best Of Your Layover

Whether it’s to save money or there simply aren’t any direct flights to your destination, layovers are inevitable for so many people. However, you don’t have to dread them! Instead of sitting on your phone scrolling through Instagram, use this time productively and you’ll find yourself boarding feeling accomplished.

Explore the City

Depending on where you are and for how long, there is a good chance you can hop on a bus or train and explore the city you’re in for a few hours. Check before you leave to make sure, but it’s always fun to say you were somewhere new just for a few hours.

Work

Although no one likes to do it, get out your laptop and send a few emails or tweak a paper. It’s hard to get out of the traveling mentality and put on your working hat again, but better do it while waiting at the airport than on a beautiful sunny day in your hotel room.

Exercise

Exercising while you wait for your plane is a great way to keep your blood flowing after sitting in a cramped seat for so long. You can do things like pushups, jumping jacks, or butt-kicks that only require a small amount of space. Also, you can use the seats and do elevated pushups or even triceps pushups.
