Two Ways to Tie Your Hair Without a Hair Tie

Have you ever found yourself without a hair tie on a hot summer day when the last thing you needed is your hair making you even hotter? In case you ever find yourself without a hair tie or a hair clip in your bag, we’ve got you covered.

No-Tie Updo

This is an easy solution to picking up your hair, even though it may frustrate you when you first try it. Just give it some practice and you’ll get it!

Hold your hair into a ponytail with one hand and twist with the other. Create a bun by twisting the ponytail and tuck the end below the bun. Make sure you don’t hold your hair too tight and move on to the next step.

Take a section of hair next to your bun and pull it over so it covers the whole bun. That should keep it in place for hours if done right.

Braid

Braids are super fun and fairly easy to do. There’s an easy way to keep the braid in place without a hair tie. Start by dividing your hair into three sections but don’t separate the hair at the bottom. Braid the sections like you normally would but don’t pull the strands through. It may look like a mess at first, but you’ll notice that the bottom section is also forming a braid. When you reach the middle, simply loop the bottom half through it and it will hold for as long as you want.
