She’s been working out for five years and she even sings about exercise in her song “Fitness.” In a recent TikTok video, she said, “I’m not working out to have your ideal body type. I’m working out to have my ideal body type. And you know what type that is? None of your f*cking business. Because I am beautiful, I am strong, I do my job, and I stay on my job.”
Lizzo’s been posting her workouts on social media and you can tell she takes fitness and her health seriously. Here’s a look at what the singer does.
Strength Training
Lizzo is into full-body workouts that incorporate strength training and cardio. She’s a fan of circuit training with the superman exercise, battle ropes, and weighted squats.
Jump Rope
Jump rope has been a popular cardio exercise for other celebrities including Halle Berry and Carrie Underwood, and Lizzo showed off her skipping skills in this Instagram post of her training with Marcus Ely.
Full-Body Workouts
Lizzo can be seen completing a total-body circuit to her song “Tempo” in a recent TikTok video. Some of the exercises she does are lat pulldowns, stability ball core exercises, battle ropes, and jumping jacks.
