Tracee Ellis Ross is more than an actress, she is also a businesswoman who knows exactly what the beauty industry is missing. As a curly-haired gal, Ross has focused her attention on creating a hair care line that is perfect for textured hair.
“This has been 20 years of dreaming and 10 years of actively trying to make this happen. Ten years ago, right after Girlfriends finished, I wrote my first haircare brand pitch. Originally the comment and response to me was, ‘what was my credibility?’ I ‘needed to partner with a professional.’ As I explained but was not listened to, for most of us curly girls, we are our best experts. We know our hair better than anyone else.”- says Ross.
The collection includes a shampoo, three conditioners, two serums, a towel, brush, and a hair clip. Prices will start at $9 and go up to $42. What’s great about this line is that is made with curly hair in mind.
“Pattern” will launch on September 9 at patternbeauty.com and it will also be available at Ulta and select retailers in late September.
