Now that the rainy season is upon us, and even snow depending on where you are in the world, it’s time to bundle up in a good coat. For those of us living in rainy places, here are the top raincoat trends for the fall.

Going Translucent

Translucent raincoats in pastel colors like pink, blue, and yellow are very trending on fashion accounts. These have the ability to look chic and show off whatever outfit you have chosen to wear that day. It’s an updated look on the plastic raincoats that were popular in the 1980s.

The Packable

Anoraks or pullover raincoats with a ¼ zip have been popular for decades. Instead of going full 80s, opt for one in monochrome. The biggest trend right now is a raincoat that also has the ability to pack up into the front pocket. It makes it easy to pack and pull out when the rain starts pouring.

A Classic Trench Coat

Beige or khaki-colored dress coats have been in fashion for a while, but now the classic trench coat has returned. This knee or ankle-length coat is often made of a treated canvas or polyester that is completely waterproof. They don’t have hoods to keep the rain off, but with the addition of an umbrella, you will look like you’ve just walked off the pages of Vogue.
