Uganda is a small African nation, set in the middle of the continent. It’s known for breathtaking views of mountains, wildlife, and its nightlife. Here’s why it should be on your travel bucket list.

The Nature

The country is part of the African Great Lakes Region and has the famed Lake Victoria within its borders. Not only does it have a variety of smaller lakes, but it also contains a mountain range which it shares with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Rwenzori Mountains contain Africa’s third highest peak, and make for spectacular hiking. Imagine seeing the savannah, and rainforests while hiking through snow.

Gorillas In The Mist

Uganda is home to the Silverback gorillas, which are an endangered species. These gorillas have been studied by primatologists like Dian Fossey and Jane Goodall. There are special tours that will take you into these protected areas, and teach you about this very special species.

Partying In Kampala

No trip to Uganda is complete without a visit to the capital. Not only is there a variety of cuisines to try, but there is a bustling nightlife. Kololo neighborhood is where most locals and visitors go to find nightclubs, bars, and foreigner-friendly restaurants.
