The fact that reading is good for you isn’t up for debate. We all know it. And most of us wish that we read more. The truth is that these days we spend way more time on the internet or watching TV than we do reading. If you want to change that, here are some tips to help you increase how much you read.

Always Keep a Book On You

Most of us aren’t so good at dealing with idle time, so we tend to pull out our phones. But if you used all of those moments of waiting for the bus, waiting in line, or waiting for your coffee order to read instead of scroll Instagram, imagine how much more reading you’d get done!

Find Books You Love

Many people who don’t like to read have bad associations of it from childhood when they were forced to read books in school they weren’t interested in. Well, there’s no reason to make yourself read boring books! There is pretty much a 100% chance you can find a book you’ll enjoy, so choose those instead of trying to force yourself through The Iliad or something (unless that’s what you’re into!).
