Tiffanie Turner’s Paper Flowers Are So Realistic You’ll Have to Look Twice

Many paper artists are drawing inspiration from nature and trying to craft life-like flower creations and Tiffanie Turner is one of the best. Her paper flowers look so authentic that it’s difficult to believe they’re not real.

Turner worked as an architect for over 15 years before discovering her true calling. She started a career as a botanical sculptor and took the art of paper flower making to new heights. She even teaches classes on this subject and shared step-by-step instructions in her book The Fine Art of Paper Flowers.

It takes between 250-400 hours to complete each of her pieces, and she dedicates a lot of time to studying the scale, texture, and color of each flower.

Her creations are mostly inspired by flowers and plants because they’re an “easy in” for people thanks to their familiarity and accessibility. “I am forever moved by the specimens found in nature, the dynamism of a flower on the stem and in the vase, changing with the season or by the day, here one month then gone for the next eleven,” explains Turner on her official website.
