This is Why You Should Avoid Lip Scrub

Your lips are chapped and your first thought is that you should give them a scrub that will remove dead skin cells? You may not want to do that.

Since the skin on our lips is very thin (approx. 3 times thinner than the skin on the face), and it also doesn’t have sebaceous glands, it has a hard time containing much-needed water. When you scrub your lips, you’re essentially removing the protective layer and make them even more prone to damage.

What to do instead?

Just let your skin renew naturally, without any mechanical action. Provide plenty of good ingredients such as sodium hyaluronate.
