This not only makes it easier for you to whip up any dish on a whim, but it also helps with enhancing flavors in other dishes outside the cuisine! Asian pantry staples are really great for the variety of cuisines that are in Asia, but also are very multi-purposeful.

Fish Sauce

Fish sauce is an awesome ingredient because it provides a lot of savory flavors as well as some salt. This can be used in everything from soup and ramen broths to dipping sauces and marinades.

Soy Sauce

Soy sauce is a hugely important ingredient across the board. It is a huge salt bomb but also has a well-rounded umami flavor since it is made from fermented soybeans, which makes it more complex than just adding salt.

Rice Vinegar

Vinegar is a key component to many Asian dishes because every dish needs some sort of acid burst to brighten all the flavors in the dish. Rice vinegar is not as acidic as white vinegar which makes it a lot more useful and palatable in things like soups or rice, but also it works great for doing quick pickling of vegetables.
