This Artist’s Miniature Paper Plants Will Leave You Speechless

If you’re thinking of giving paper art a shot, Instagram is a great source of inspiration since many amazing artists use it to promote their work. Raya Sader Bujana is one of them, and her miniature paper plants will take your breath away.

The Barcelona-based artist started experimenting with paper art while still studying architecture about twenty years ago, and she’s been playing with paper ever since.

“I have a very organic approach to paper art. I try to treat the paper as more of a sculptural material, and like molding, shaping, curving, and layering. Cutting, texture, and volume are also very important to me. I learned through practice, experimenting and trial and error,” Bujana told Flower Magazine.

The Spanish artist mostly draws inspiration from nature. Her paper miniatures are shaped like plants and flowers because they require a lot of attention to detail and allow her to push herself. She doesn’t always create works of smaller scale, but as they represent the biggest challenge, she prefers them over everything else.
