Coasters are completely necessary to protect your furniture from stains and rings, but that doesn’t mean they have to be boring! There are so many ways you can make your own jazzy coasters, so try out some of these DIY projects!
Cork
You can usually find cork at any multi-purpose store or art store, and sometimes they even come in shapes that are ready to be coasters! If not, just buy a thin sheet and cut out whatever shapes you like, and you’re ready to party! To help you along, you can also use cookie cutters to make each one uniform. If you want to make them special, you can always draw a fun color or pattern on them.
Rope
If you have some thin rope on hand, you have the perfect vehicle to make rope coasters! They turn out really beautiful and it takes almost no time to make them! Just get out your hot glue gun and glue a little bit of the rope at a time so the rope sticks to itself, and curl it inwards to make a round shape. You can make the coasters as big or small as you like, but whatever you decide, they will be totally darling!
