We all agree that sometimes the best thing we can do to have fun and relax is to make popcorn/order Chinese, sit back and enjoy the latest episodes of our favorite TV show. The past decade brought us a change of approach when it comes to TV so the selection of high-quality stories is greater than ever. Those shows are often filmed in various exotic locations that you, as a true fan, can visit. Take notes for your next vacation.

Game of Thrones

GoT fans crowded Croatia in the past several years. Famous Highgarden, the home of House Tyrell, is located around 12 miles northwest of the city of Dubrovnik and it’s called Trsteno Arboretum. Besides the connection to the HBO hit show, the place has a lot to offer. It’s a true hidden jewel worth paying attention to.

Another jewel discovered by the Game of Thrones is certainly Sevilla in Spain. The scenes of Dorne show it as a paradise on Earth and GoT producers were among the rare ones to get a permit to shot here.

True Blood

Bill Compton’s house is around 150 years old, the same as this True Blood character. The original house was initially used for shooting, but due to the controversial contents of the show, its owners protested so the producers had no other choice but to make a replica in Santa Monica.

The house is located at 5030 Highway 5, Gloster, Louisiana.

The Sopranos

The famous diner from The Sopranos is located in Bloomfield, New Jersey. After James Gandolfini’s death, the diner kept the table where the well-known TV family sat every time for a month.

Girls

At the beginning of the show, Hannah (Lena Dunham) takes up a barista job at the Grumpy café, which is a real place in NYC. It’s a chain with several stores around the city and Hannah worked at the first one, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Twin Peaks

The legendary Twin Peaks‘ Great Northern Hotel offers a tour which includes scene locating with a map that has everything from the show in it. The upper level is reserved for enjoying a Dale Cooper cocktail, cherry pie or the famous Damn Good coffee.
