Now that we’re in November, it’s time for Netflix to start releasing their much anticipated Christmas content. There are three standouts that any holiday lover has to watch.
Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square – November 22
For all the Dolly Parton fans out there, this promises to be a special holiday treat. Parton plays an angel who needs to change the mind of a Scrooge-like character played by Christine Baranski. Baranski wants to evict everyone from the small town, where she owns most of the property. Naturally, the angelic Parton changes her mind. Parton has also released her first holiday album in 30 years, and it features all new songs to go along with the Christmas film.
Home For The Holidays Season 2 – December 18
This Norwegian show was a sleeper hit last December when the first season was released. The main character Johanna is a nurse who has bad luck with love. She decides to take matters into her own hands and finds the perfect date for her parents’ annual Christmas dinner. Fans of the show may finally have an answer to last season’s major cliffhanger.
The Christmas Chronicles 2 – November 25
In another follow-up, fans get to watch Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell return as Santa and Mrs. Klaus. This sequel will have all of the hijinks of the first film, but with a new troublemaker. Someone is threatening to cancel Christmas and that is something Santa cannot allow.
