It’s Ayo Edebiri’s world and we’re just living in it! From acclaimed television shows to quirky indie comedies and high-profile animated films, the young actress seems to be everywhere right now. We’re bringing you five projects that helped Edebiri establish herself as a Gen-Z icon this summer.

The Bear

The Bear is one of the projects that put Edebiri on the map, and her character Sydney is its beating heart. The second season of this dramedy premiered this summer, and it showed the chaotic kitchen crew try and transform their sandwich shop into a fine dining restaurant.

Theater Camp

Edebiri is a part of the supporting cast of this indie comedy about a staff of a rundown theatre camp in upstate New York doing everything in their power to keep it running.

Bottoms

Edebiri has always been an amazing supporting player, but she finally got her first major lead role in Bottoms alongside Rachel Sennott. This teen comedy sees them play two high schoolers who have an ulterior motive for starting an all-girl fight club at their school.

Black Mirror

Edebiri made a brief but notable appearance in Black Mirror’s hit new episode Joan is Awful, which warned us against the use of AI in the entertainment industry.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

Edebiri is also a talented voice actress with several notable projects under her belt, and we’ll soon get to hear her voice our favorite reporter April O’Neil in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
