If you’re leaving for a longer period of time or you’re just not sure if your plants will be okay with one of these automated ways of watering, you can always ask someone you trust who lives nearby to come to your place every 2-3 days and water the plants. Just bring them a nice thank-you gift when you get back from your trip!

Invite some friends to go on a walk in nature or to have a reading session at your house, but having activities you wouldn’t normally be doing during that time will make your stay-cation special.
During your stay-cation, try eating at a new restaurant! Even if it’s a little pricey, because by staying home you’ve already saved a lot of money, so you don’t need to feel bad about splurging a bit.
Even though you’re at home, pretend like you’re somewhere far away. If you were really on vacation, you wouldn’t be able to deep clean your house or answer work emails, so don’t do that kind of stuff during your stay-cation either!
