The idea of a working vacation has been pretty popular among certain groups of working professionals for years. Since the pandemic started, many other people realized that they can be equally productive without going to the office. But as great as working from home is at first, it gets boring quickly. Have you considered switching things up and heading to a remote location to work and have a vacation at the same time?

There are some great benefits of a working vacation. You don’t have to ask for vacation days and can still earn income while traveling more than ever. The downside is that you don’t get to switch off completely like you usually would on a vacation. You need to spend a part of your day working and have a limited time to rest and enjoy. This is especially inconvenient if your work hours are determined by coworkers and you’re expected on meetings so traveling to another time zone can be tricky. It’s a bit more relaxed for freelancers who work independently.
