Medik8

Medik8 salicylic acid uses BHA to clean the pores and get down to the root of the blemish. It also reduces inflammation with the use of niacinamide.

Protect With Sunscreen

Shielding your skin from harmful UV rays is crucial. Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 every day, even on cloudy days or during winter.

Even if you have an extensive skincare routine and buy the best skin care products, there are some things that could be sabotaging your skin. Here are a few bad nighttime habits that could be ruining your skin.

Not Changing Your Pillowcases

Believe it or not our pillowcases play an important role in skincare. It’s really important to change pillowcases on a regular basis in order to avoid germ and bacteria build-up.

Sleeping with Makeup On

Going to bed with your makeup on is the biggest skincare mistake, and we cannot stress enough how important it is to avoid this. Sleeping with heavy makeup on your face is likely to clog pores and can eventually lead to breakouts, so make sure to wash every trace of makeup in the evening.

Not getting enough sleep

Sleep deprivation can ruin our health and is bad for our skin as well. Skin needs time to rest and repair during the night, and you’re likely to notice signs of inflammation, dark circles, or breakouts if you’re getting less than seven hours of sleep.

When it comes to skincare, we rely on the “holy trinity” of products—sunscreen with a protective factor, retinol, and vitamin C. Experts in the field of skincare claim your skin is guaranteed to be healthier and have a natural glow if you apply these three ingredients regularly.

Even though it’s not a novelty on the market, vitamin C is the most wanted ingredient in web searches in 2020. How this ingredient became a mainstay in the skincare industry for such a long time? Its secret is a method of application, that is constantly being improved and applied in new formulations, such as concentrated serums.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CErwhJOn_j7/

There are many things you may not have known about vitamin C. It has an antioxidant effect and it’s one of the best protectors of skin in defense of harmful external influences, such as various types of pollution, and of course UV rays and infrared radiation.

Besides the fact it’s playing a significant role in our diets, it’s an extremely effective ingredient for surface skincare. Vitamin C also promotes the natural production of collagen which makes your skin look soft and youthful, and reduces pre-existing damage to your skin.

Nobody’s perfect; we all have some bad habits that affect the way we look more or less. If your bad habits take their toll on your skin, here’s how you can reverse the effects.

Smoking

We’re not here to tell you that smoking is bad for you, you already know that. If it makes your skin look older and dull, try products with ginseng, mint leaves, and rosemary for improving circulation.

Skipping Skincare

We know that you only skip the nightly skincare regiment when you’re absolutely tired. That’s why you need to trick yourself into doing it even when you can’t think straight. Put a few basic products like cleanser and moisturizer on a visible spot, like next to your toothbrush. If you can’t do the whole routine, at least use them.

Alcohol

If you don’t like how your skin looks after a night of drinking, wash your face with cold water and don’t skip the moisturizer. Drink plenty of water to hydrate your body from the inside.

Making your own products at home has become increasingly popular and there are even benefits for your skin associated with it. But, there are certain ingredients that can harm your skin and you should avoid using. These are the ones you shouldn’t use or that you should use with caution.

Lemon and Other Fruits

While many Pinterest hacks will tell you to use lemon in your skincare products, lemon is acidic and it can burn your skin, leaving it raw or discolored. Other fruits shouldn’t cause a severe reaction unless you’re allergic to them, but berries and fruits will stain.

Toothpaste and Baking Soda

Toothpaste and baking soda are commonly used to treat acne, but they can irritate or inflame your skin.

Did you know that working out has many benefits for the skin? It improves circulation and makes your complexion appear radiant and healthy. But, if you don’t properly care for your skin after workout out, your skin can become itchy, breakout, or inflamed. Here’s how to keep your skin healthy after exercising.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B9rOZEVJdFg/

Shower ASAP

The longer you stay in your dirty, sweaty clothes, the more likely the dirt and bacteria will clog your pores and cause you to breakout.

Wash Your Hair

After you workout, rinse your hair with water to get rid of the salt and sweat and condition it to soften and protect your hair from the sun. If you don’t want to wash your hair, at least wash your hairline and neckline to avoid acne.

Change Your Clothes

Sitting in sweaty clothes can cause lots of skin conditions, flare eczema, and lead to skin rashes and skin yeast infections.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BopDYGGho-l/

Drink Water

Drinking water not only hydrates your body, but it also keeps your skin hydrated. When you’re dehydrated, your skin can look dull, so make sure you have a bottle of water with you at all times.

Influencer Patricia Bright recently partnered with skincare brand Dermalogica to educate her followers on the importance of good skincare. In a recent interview with Glamour, she shared some of her top tips for keeping your skin looking healthy and glowy. Here’s a roundup of what we learned.

Vitamin C

Patricia swears by Vitamin C to keep the skin looking brighter and smoother. She also warns readers to choose a high-quality vitamin C product rather than a high-concentration one.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B7x-ePan-vL/

Wear SPF

Although Patricia admits she sometimes forgets to apply, she emphasizes how important it is to wear SPF every day. Even when the sun isn’t shining, it’s rays still have an effect on your skin.

Use Eye Cream

Most of us are guilty of using the same moisturizer under our eyes as we do on the rest of our face. Patricia explains that eye creams use similar ingredients but they are gentler so are better suited for the sensitive area around the eyes.

The skincare industry has developed a lot over the past years. We have evolved a lot from the time most of us simply used soap and water and we can’t help but wonder — are we overdoing it today?

https://www.instagram.com/p/B55I16GDWEK/

If you follow skincare trends, you’ve probably lost track of how many steps your routine needs to have. This seems to change every month and it’s impossible to know who’s right and who’s wrong. But we can tell you one thing — you’re probably using more products than your skin needs.

Think about it: are there any redundant steps in your skincare routine? For example, if you’re using micellar water to remove makeup, then a cleansing gel is probably unnecessary as they have a very similar purpose. All you need to do is to rinse your face with plain water and moisturize it.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B7tUeYEn2bm/

However, everything depends on your individual needs. We all have different skin and it takes some experimenting to know what works and what doesn’t. But if you’ve been constantly thinking about steps you need to add to your routine, it’s probably time to start thinking about things you can stop doing, too.

There are so many new devices in the skincare world, it is hard to know what is worth investing in or what is actually good for your skin. When everyone is striving for youthful skin and covering up their blemishes you want to try everything that is out there. Here is a breakdown of the two most popular face appliances: Dermarollers–that can be done at home–and Microneedling that must be performed by a professional.

Dermarolling

The dermaroller is a handled roller covered in tiny needles that you roll over your face to create mini punctures on your face. These tiny holes on your face allow the moisturizer or anti-wrinkle cream that you use to penetrate deeper into your skin, making the cream more effective.

How to use it?

Use back and forth motions along your skin with a light amount of pressure along your cheekbones, nose, and forehead. For the rest of your face you can use a little more pressure but make sure to avoid the eye area and only use once or twice per week.

Is it effective?

It should take a month to see proper results but the effectiveness of the process mainly depends on the products you use after the Dermarolled and how deep they penetrate your skin.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B7pFqf3hUCO/

Microneedling

Microneedling goes a little deeper and gently wounds the skin, which increases the natural production of collagen and elastin. This is only performed at a beauty clinic and you have to be careful not to go too deep with the needles to prevent scarring of the skin.

While self-isolating at home, you may be interested in trying out some DIY skincare products.

Raw Egg

Eggs are used in some K-beauty products, but applying them directly to your skin can cause a bacterial infection called salmonella. While rare, you don’t want to risk it.

Vinegar

Some people use vinegar-based toners because of the acidity and pH-balancing properties, but it smells terrible and it can irritate your skin, exaggerates sunburn, cause superficial burns, and depigmentation.

Spices should be handled with caution as they can irritate your skin and make sure you stay away from cinnamon.

Did you know that working out has many benefits for the skin? It improves circulation and makes your complexion appear radiant and healthy. But, if you don’t properly care for your skin after workout out, your skin can become itchy, breakout, or inflamed. Here’s how to keep your skin healthy after exercising.

Microneedling

Microneedling goes a little deeper and gently wounds the skin, which increases the natural production of collagen and elastin. This is only performed at a beauty clinic and you have to be careful not to go too deep with the needles to prevent scarring of the skin.

#kosmetik #fruchtsäure #microdermabrasion #vitalaser #mesoporation #radiofrequenz #faszien #microneedling #goldbehandlung #farbtherapie #galvanic #ultraschall #oxygen #medicalbeauty #visagistik #massagen #maniküre #nägel #fusspflege #enthaarung #gutschein #antiaging #dingolfing #gottfrieding #gottfriedingerschwaige
