]]>All credit has to go to Hailey Bieber who got us started on glazed donut nails that were good enough to eat. Since those sparklers, we’ve seen the chocolate-glazed version, juicy nails, jelly nails, and now… iced coffee nails.
Before you do a spit-take with your latte, take a listen.
Iced coffees are basically what have gotten us through the scorching summer. Whether you’re making your own or stopping off at your favorite coffee shop, there is something blissful about ice cubes, cold brew, and a swirl of milk.
And now you can replicate that on your nails.
Use brown and cream polishes to create a marbled effect.
You’re aiming for abstract swirls with neutral tones. And the best news is, there is no right or wrong way to do it. In fact, let your coffee be your inspiration.
Dot shades of brown, white, and cream gel polish on your nails in a wispy fashion. If you prefer your coffee strong, go harder with the browns, and even add a dash of black if espresso is your thing.

]]>Chocolate Glazed Donut Nails create a cozy, warm vibe with a chocolatey brown base with a pearly top coat. Thankfully, Hailey Bieber’s nail stylist gave the world the exact shades and polishes she uses to create the look–and she uses all affordable products that can be found anywhere that sells OPI polishes!
Start by priming your nails with your favorite base coat. Then, apply one layer of OPI Infinite Shine nail polish in Espresso Your Inner Self. By only applying one coast, you get a more translucent look that adds to the sheer tone you are going for. Then add one really thin layer of OPI Infinite Shine in Kyoto Pearl (you can also thin this color out by mixing it with your clear coat. The last step is to simply add your favorite top coat and enjoy your beautiful nail look!
@haileybieber I know we’re tired of my constant color switch up but… the chocolate glazed donut nails are really hitting for me for fall @zolaganzorigt ♬ original sound – jex

]]>Kim has only been sharing her nail art with the world since 2021, but that didn’t stop her from becoming a true social media sensation, with 90,000 Instagram followers and counting. She’s using nails as a canvas, crafting some of the most show-stopping manicures you’ll ever come across, and some of them look straight out of a museum.
Kim hails from South Korea and currently lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She enjoyed expressing herself through art from a young age, but never strived towards making a living as an artist. She dreamed about becoming a physician, and even studied English literature at one point, but life had different plans for her.
Kim’s outlook on nail art changed she tried to do a manicure for her wedding. That’s when she bought her first UV lamp and gel polish set, but her wedding manicure didn’t turn out the way she hoped for. The first failed attempt didn’t force her to give up and only inspired her to keep getting better. Her husband encouraged her to share her creations with the world – and the rest is history!

]]>Let’s start with a classic: polka dot nails. These are so easy to do. You can use a special nail polish dotting tool, but you don’t even have to spring for that. Just a toothpick will work just as well.
Abstract nail art is one of the best styles to start out with as a beginner because it’s meant to look imperfect on purpose. Just follow your instincts and you’ll create a unique style that nobody else out there has.
You can think of floral nails as kind of a next step once you’ve mastered polka dot nails. Just start with five dots next to each other to represent petals and a dot in the middle for the center of the flower. You’ll be surprised how easy it is to make flowers that look good.

]]>We’re all about the ’90s/2000s revival that is currently underway and butterflies are back in a big way. And why shouldn’t they be? The whimsical creatures are colorful and cute—perfect for summer.
Not only are the butterfly clips you probably wore as a teenager back in style, but the fluttery insects are making an appearance on nails as well.
The gorgeous creatures are known for their vast color palettes, allowing them to fit with whichever hue of polish you choose. Pastels look particularly pretty.
Those with steady hands may opt to add their butterflies with nail art, but luckily for the rest of us, there are some fabulous nail stickers to choose from.
If you aren’t ready to completely take flight with the trend, that’s okay—embrace the accent nail. Let those butterfly babies land where they wish.
The cuties can be as bold and detailed, or subtle and sweet, as you wish. Just wing it!

]]>This nail art trend is perfect for fans of extravagant 3D designs with an incredibly realistic feel. The main idea behind this manicure is to make it seem like you’ve been caught in a rainstorm and tiny droplets ended up sticking to your nails like they’ve been frozen in time.
This incredible effect is accomplished with the use of hardened gel or globs of clear nail polish. You can try to recreate the illusion of wet fingertips on your own, but most people rely on their nail artists when it comes to this trend because it can be pretty difficult to copy.
If “water droplet” nails seem familiar, it’s probably because you’ve previously seen them on Kylie Jenner’s Instagram. She’s been working closely with celebrity manicurist Mei Kawajiri, who specializes in over-the-top 3D manicures, and we’ve seen her rock several iterations of this trendy manicure.

]]>Here to set the tone is NYC-based nail artist Gracie J. With almost 40k followers on Instagram, J. should definitely be on your radar. Recent posts include tortoiseshell-inspired nail art, bold tiger prints, and even a tiny sculpted comb added to the tip of her nails.
A trained nail tech and self-taught artist, J. was the former Lead Nail Stylist for TNT’s critically-acclaimed television series CLAWS. According to J. her inspiration for both her personal and professional work comes from the people and places around her. “I derive inspiration from other places, from all kinds of artists, like jewelry designers,” she shared in an interview with Coveteur. “But sometimes I just have an idea that pops in my head.”
Inspiration, as it turns out, also comes from her upbringing, and more specifically – her mother. “My mom is a very flashy person; she always had her nails done,” says J. “If we’re going to a simple BBQ, she’ll wear a gypsy skirt and shirt with chains—she’s the flashy Haitian mom.”
Growing up with a “flashy mom” also meant she took note early on, and has been doing her nails since the age of 13. “I wanted to do anyone and everyone’s nails,” jokes J. “Now nails with smiley faces are trending, but I did that when I was a teen. And did a pretty bomb job.”
