]]>They say the state of your bed is the state of your head, and it’s true that the mind can relax and focus more effectively in a clutter-free environment. Without visual and mental distractions from excess possessions, it becomes much easier to maintain a sense of calm throughout the day. Minimalism allows us to escape the burden of managing and organizing so many belongings, freeing up mental and physical space for more meaningful pursuits.
By learning to think twice before bringing home unnecessary possessions, it becomes easier to save money and put what resources we do have toward things that enrich our lives. Minimalists tend to prioritize experiences over material goods, seeking fulfillment through travel, personal growth, and meaningful relationships.
Our consumer-driven culture often leads to excessive production and waste, and this has a serious negative impact on the environment. By adopting a minimalist lifestyle, we’re able to reduce consumption and minimize our waste and carbon footprint in the process. With a focus on quality over quantity, minimalists make more deliberate and sustainable choices around what they do consume, and this shift towards conscious consumption contributes to the preservation of the planet’s natural resources.

]]>With her aesthetics leaning on nordic minimalism, Körner has experience in sportswear, costume design, and bespoke designs, as well as bridal dresses. Her inspiration comes mainly from conceptual themes – things like architectural perspectives of the built environment.
“Our target customer is a fashion-conscious female with high disposable income, aged 19-55 years,” relayed Körner in an interview with Fashion Angel. “Works within the fashion, finance, media and the arts, socialises and travels regularly therefore demanding a constant need to renew her wardrobe. She would also ideally like comfort and individuality.”
Having officially launched in March 2015, Körner says the response to her brand has been overwhelmingly positive. “I actually needed to produce more pieces because of demand on specific designs,” she recalled in the interview.
Körner received The PREMIUM YOUNG DESIGNER AWARD in Womenswear for exceptional designs. She has also earned recognition after several collections with Danish brand MUUSE, and has won the SWEDISH FASHION TALENT of THE YEAR Award by The Swedish Fashion Council during Stockholm Fashion Week 2016.

Whenever you get an email you want to delete and never receive again, an additional step of unsubscribing will save you from the future pain.
If you’re holding onto books you don’t really like or don’t see yourself reading again or ever, make someone happy by donating them. Books are always a treasured gift and it’s better to let them go than to let them collect dust on your shelf.
Take as much time as you can, want, or need, and simply do nothing. Remind yourself that nothing comes before you and your own time. It may feel at first but you will quickly learn to cherish that time and look forward to it.

]]>Instead of trying to declutter your whole house in one go, focus on one room at a time. Start with the easiest room first and then move on to the more challenging rooms.
After you’ve chosen the room to focus on, start with the visible areas first like the shelves, things on the floor, and furniture, before moving onto the hidden areas like your drawers, closets, and cabinets.
Only hold onto the items that have meaning to you and that are essential. If you can’t decide whether to keep or toss an item, ask yourself if you need it and if you use it.
Once you’ve decluttered your space, make it a habit of keeping it clean and tidying up. You may need to reorganize daily, weekly, or seasonally.
It’s difficult not to buy things when you’re constantly being bombarded by advertisements, so if it’s hard for you to resists, unsubscribe to emails and newsletters. Only buy what makes you happy and what you need.

]]>People often put their mail in the kitchen and if you’re among them, you know how fast it can pile up. What you need is an organization system or at least a different place of it, like a desk.
Make it a habit to put the utensils back in the drawers when you’re done with them and your kitchen will look much tidier at all times.
The same goes for spices. They should be in the pantry, away from your eyes, as we’re sure you’re not reaching for them several times every day.
Cookbooks shouldn’t stand on the countertop; instead, put them on a dedicated shelf somewhere in the kitchen so they’re always within reach without cluttering the space.
We get that you’d like to display that beautiful bowl or vase, but the countertop is not the place to do that. Move it to the top of the cabinets or to an open shelf.

]]>The word hygge represents the Danish concept of living. It means being warm and comfy above everything else, and you can achieve it if you add some pillows and throws, light some candles, and invite friends over for a cozy night in.
The best way to achieve the Scandinavian vibe is to avoid adding unnecessary things to your home. Furniture design is simple and colors are often limited to white, gray, and light wood. Wooden and leather furniture pieces are key, while the textiles make any place feel like home.
Although it’s not recommended to clutter your home with decoration and accessories, you still need to have some. You can’t go wrong with plants and wall decor!

]]>If you’re someone who works in a business environment every day and wears the same type of top on a daily basis, you don’t need every type of bra for your lifestyle. But if you work from home or have a job with a flexible dress code, you might be wearing lots of different styles of shirts that will require more bras.
Most people say you need about 3 bras for each style of clothes you wear the most. If you’re someone who goes to a lot of fancy events, you might need 3 bras for different styles of dresses, while if you never go to fancy events, you might need 1 or none.
The most important thing is to buy bras that fit you properly. Go to a lingerie or department store and actually get measured by a professional before you go bra crazy. If you buy a bra that is too loose or too tight, you can make your boobs hurt by not being supported correctly. You can also cut off circulation, which is bad for breast health.

]]>To first assess what you’re really wearing, use this old hanger tip. All you have to do is after you wear something, hang it up on a hanger but face the hanger the opposite direction of your other clothes. This will give you a good visual of what clothes are actually being worn. After a while, you can donate the clothes you aren’t wearing and free up more space!
Keeping your closet organized is vital to utilizing all your clothes. You can either hang up your clothes based on color or even by style so you can have an easy visual of what clothes you actually own.

If you want to have your closet match the seasons, you’ll have to store your clothes for the other parts of the year in some way. You can do this with stylish baskets, large vacuum sealed bags, or even just putting them away in whatever luggage you own.
