The optimal amount of sleep for adults is seven to nine hours per night. Just like the lack of sleep can lead to various physical and mental health problems, similar can happen if you sleep too much. Sleeping for 10 or more hours every day will actually leave you feeling tired, anxious, and forgetful.

Does this mean that you need to stress about the exact amount of sleep you’re getting every night? Not really. You probably have a wake-up schedule already, depending on your daily activities, so all you need to do is adjust the time you go to bed in the evening. The optimal amount of sleep for adults is seven to nine hours per night. Just like the lack of sleep can lead to various physical and mental health problems, similar can happen if you sleep too much. Sleeping for 10 or more hours every day will actually leave you feeling tired, anxious, and forgetful.

Does this mean that you need to stress about the exact amount of sleep you’re getting every night? Not really. You probably have a wake-up schedule already, depending on your daily activities, so all you need to do is adjust the time you go to bed in the evening.
