If you’ve bought or received a gorgeous orchid plant, you probably need advice on how to keep it healthy and blooming all year long. It’s much easier than you think! Here are our best tricks that always work.
Find Out How Old It Is
Orchids will bloom when they’re 1.5-3 years old. An adult plant that’s ready to bloom should have 5 to 8 sprouts. If a plant is young but it already went through blooming chances are it won’t be able to recover.
Don’t Move It
Orchids don’t like it when you move them from place to place. If you’re moving it for watering, make sure to put it back exactly as it was.
How to Water
Orchids should be watered often when they’re blooming, and approximately once every 12 days when they’re not. In order to water it, put its pot in a bigger dish with some water, then leave for a few hours. Leave to drain before returning to its place.
