The Secret to Keeping Lemons Fresh

During these cold winter months and at the beginning of spring, you’re going to need all the refreshments you can get. One of the most important ones are lemons, but there is a problem with them – they go bad fast.

However, there is a secret that allows you to keep them fresher for much longer, allowing you to get a healthy bite whenever you want.

The key to keeping lemons fresh

Lemons are full of water and the amount of water they have within themselves affects their level of freshness.

This is why you need to keep your lemons in a moist environment, preventing them from going bad and losing all the precious water they have within themselves.

The cold temperature in the fridge sometimes accelerates the process, but you can do a lot to help your fruits.

Two possible solutions

The first choice is putting the lemons in a bowl of water in the fridge.

Because they will be soaked in that water, you won’t have to worry about losing their freshness and having to deal with spoiled citruses.

The second choice is putting them in Ziploc bags, preventing the cold from affecting the peak in particular.
