Whenever you get a new pair of shoes, bag, or really anything brand new, you will be sure to find a couple of those little packets tucked away somewhere. These are called silica gel packets, and soon they will be your new best friend, so don’t ever through them away!
Scrapbooking
If you love to keep your memories in a scrapbook, make sure you take care of it! In case there is ever a spill around the book, put a packet in between the cardstock or whatever type of pages you are using. This will make sure that if your pages ever do get wet, they won’t be ruined forever.

Cell Phones
Sometimes one thing leads to another and you find yourself fishing your phone out of a pool, or any other body of water. Instead of putting it in rice, take out your sim card, and put it in a container of silica gel packets! Leave it for at least 2 days and you will be amazed at how your phone will come back to life!
Travel
If you are carrying around copies of passports or paper boarding flights, make sure you stick a silica gel packet into your folder to absorb any moisture.
