When you want a quick snack that is actually on the healthy side, nuts are your guys. Sure, you can have them raw, but roasted is so much better. Here’s how to get ‘em perfect every time.

Step #1

If you would like to add some flavor to the nuts, you totally can. A sweet and spicy version involves combining sugar, salt, chili powder, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper, and tossing the nuts through. If you prefer a more authentic taste, drizzle them with olive oil and sprinkle some sea salt.

Step #2

Grab a rimmed baking sheet and coat it with cooking spray. Lay out the nuts evenly. You want your oven to not be above 300°F as roasting nuts at high temperatures can have a negative effect on the nut fat which is good for your heart.

Step #3

Roast the nuts for around 45 minutes. Stir them once during the process so that each side becomes golden and toasty. Once done, allow the nuts to cool on the baking tray, stirring occasionally.
