Remote Work Isn’t a One Size Fits All Solution

One of the most popular trends in the world right now is remote work. Due to the pandemic, workplaces across the globe were forced to retreat to a remote lifestyle, but as the virus started to fizzle, companies didn’t want to say goodbye to the idea of working from home. People continue to swear by the benefits of working from home, but not everyone agrees. The truth is that remote work shouldn’t have to be something that people have to do, and here’s why.

Some People Hate It

There are those who love remote work, but others who absolutely despise it. Believe it or not, some people actually love getting out of their bed every day, getting dressed, and taking a commute to see people at an office. There’s something energy-inducing about being around other people every day, and it’s something you lose when you’re stuck at home being a hermit.

For this reason, companies shouldn’t just assume that everyone wants to work at home. Hybrid models are good because they accommodate everyone, but there are some workplaces that abandon the office altogether. Ultimately, an employee shouldn’t have to quit because they have trouble working from home, which is why all companies should recognize that remote work is truly not a one-size-fits-all solution.
