“Rainbow bangs” is the most vibrant trend of spring and we appreciate the splash of color injected into our Instagram feeds.
In the last month, thousands of posts have appeared on Instagram with the #rainbowfringe and #rainbowbangs hashtags. It seems that more and more people are daring to take the plunge into embracing a quirkier, louder hairstyle.
Hair colorist Kristina Cheeseman has been particularly big fan of the hair trend and has added an array of color to many of her clients’ hair. “I have noticed an uptick in rainbow panels,” she said via Glamour. “Mostly due to the fact they’re easier to maintain, they’re not your entire head, and you still get the essence of rainbow hair with half the maintenance involved,” she says.
The look is achieved by mixing a blend of colors into bangs. They don’t have to be short and blunt, the look works on all different types of hair. Another upshot is that the colors blend together so there’s no need for vigorous upkeep. You can wear the rainbow and grow it out when you want to return to a more natural look.
